This article comes to clarify the seamy side of Brazil Agribusiness, when the discussion comes up to production and environment a seamy side imposed by some external markets starts to gain voice worldwide based on the lack of knowledge. Then, let us bring it to the light and to start stopping second guess the Brazilian Agribusiness. I believe that who works in the agribusiness field has the responsibility to say or explaining for everyone that consumes the Brazilian products, (through buying commodities from Brazil) that they are consuming or buying a save products. Although, Brazilian producers need to follow a long requirement before those food or crops arrived on your place. Maybe, you are asking yourself: What is she talking about? Everyone knows that! For sure, trust me it is not something that everyone knows. Some time people get confusion between what it is happening in Amazon and what is the reality that englobe all policies to be granted a Brazil the right to export their products and to be introduced in a new market (abroad), and it involves some protection with the environment. Because in other way, they would not be able to export.

Today I decided to share with all of you a National Solid Waste Policy called PNRS, I hope you can enjoy with your reading and also I hope to be helping you do not repeat what people are saying without any knowledge. As many people abroad Brazil do not know, and keep saying that Brazil is delayed in laws to protect the natural environment I come through this article to introduce The Federal Brazilian law number 12.305 which establish a National Solid Waste Policy knowing for the acronym PNRS. This regulatory decree 7404 from 2010 is of major importance to an integrated management and to improve the solid waste management including hazards and hazardous waste. The PNRS appoints as waste generators the producers, the livestock farmer and all organizations that have as activity the agricultural sector. An important step has been taken when this law starts to define the individual or legal entity, public or private entity as agents responsible for the waste generation, and also this law define the polluting agent, as described in the act 3º, IV Law nº 6.938 from 1981. In my point of view, the PNRS creation was a milestone in the history of the Brazilian Agribusiness, and it not only clarifies the legal definition in detail to the producer, but it is clearly an answer for those that were claiming for a sustainability actions in this field. The PNRS brings important concepts about waste management, and it is clearly a public awareness and environmental education campaign presented by law. I recommend for everyone that would like to check the information on this article to watch the video from INPEV called Defensivos Agrícolas obsoletos e BHC. (Obsolete Agricultural Pesticides and BHC).

Knowing that the Agribusiness is directly linked with the environment, the PNR is a smart move from the Brazilian Government, because it not only a public policies where the environment is the central point of the discussion, but Brazil takes an positive attitude to signalizing to the world that their production are sustainable and they preserve the environment, consequently they produce quality and safe food. Below I bring some examples of how the PNRS embrace important aspect that ensures a quality and sustainable production. 1. solid waste: material, substance, object or disposed good resulting from activities human beings in society, whose final destination proceeds, it is proposed to proceed or whether you are required to proceed, in solid or semi-solid states, as well as gases 2. solid waste management: set of actions exercised, directly or indirectly, in the stages of collection, transportation, transshipment, treatment and final destination environmentally sound solid waste and final disposal environmentally disposal of waste, in accordance with the municipal integrated waste management plan solids. 3. solid waste generators: individuals or companies, under public law or private sector, which generate solid waste through their activities, including the consumption. Although the PNRS has been created in 2010, and it still has in a several ways an innovative character nowadays, especially for those who insist on not seeing the light for convenience when the topic is sustainability in Brazilian Agribusiness. The livestock farmer and all organizations that have as activity the agricultural sector now are aware that from now on part of your profit should be invested in measures on behalf of the environment, through a waste separation, re-education and adaptation for this sector and these measures benefits are countless, such as encouraging the non-generation of this waste, producers awareness when they chose their method of cultivation.

Below are some advantages that this National Policies (PNRS) brings to the Organizations and at the same time for the environment.
Valorization of the Company: sending a message that this Organization is attuned in how to preserve the environment is important.
Positive Marketing: the consumer market prefers to buy from companies environmentally friendly companies.
Sustainability: it is no longer a buzzword, becoming in a viable, real-world concept. Sustainability has developed a fear and a comprehensive strategy
The Organization starts to be considered for the award ISO 14000 and ISO 14001 one of the main requirements to the Organizations can be internationally recognized for environmentally friendly.
PGRS well planned and structured, it guarantees tax incentives as ICMS reduction.
For whom is involved in Agribusiness we know that we cannot mix what is happening in the Amazon with the reality about the important advancement that Brazilian Agrobusiness and Environmental protection department have conquered. Furthermore, this is just one law of the many that make up the legislative and legal structure for the protection of the environment of the brazilian government I hope that you can have enjoyed with this article and it could help you demystify some misinformation about Brazil and Sustainable Agriculture.
